Addressable Smoke Detector

Description

Model ALN-E(HFP) is a Photoelectric Smoke Sensor, which is fully compatible with Hochiki’s ESP Analogue Addressable Protocol.
The ALN-E(HFP) incorporates Hochiki’s newest High Performance Chamber Technology removing the need to use Ionisation Smoke Sensors in the majority of applications. This also allows the sensor threshold level to be increased, thereby improving the signal to noise ratio and reducing susceptibility to false alarms.
The ALN-E(HFP) smoke chamber is easily removed or replaced for cleaning and utilises a unique improved baffle design which allows smoke to enter the chamber whilst keeping out ambient light.

Addressable Heat Detector

Model ATJ-E(HFP) is a Multi-Heat Sensor, which is fully compatible with Hochiki’s ESP Analogue Addressable Protocol.
The ATJ-E(HFP) incorporates a Variable Temperature heat element and a Rate Of Rise heat element, both of which are controlled from the Control Panel, allowing either thermal element or both elements simultaneously to be active in making the fire decision. The sensor polling LEDs can also be controlled via the Control Panel (pulsing/non-pulsing)

Addressable Multi Detector

Model ACC-E(HFP) is a Multi-Sensor, which is fully compatible with Hochiki’s ESP Analogue Addressable Protocol, and incorporates a thermal element and High Performance photoelectric smoke chamber.
The ACC-E(HFP) has three modes, which are controlled from the Control Panel, allowing either the optical element or thermal element or both elements to be active in making the fire decision. The sensor polling LEDs can be controlled via the Control Panel (pulsing/non-pulsing). The ACC-E(HFP) smoke chamber can easily be removed or replaced for easy maintenance.

Addressable Beam Detector

Description

The FB-1 (FIREbeam) is a reflective beam Smoke Detector which features advanced motorized technology allowing it to self-align itself to the centre of the reflector when commissioning. Commissioning is a semi-automatic procedure where the unit aligns itself directly onto the center of the reflector. Once commissioned the detector continually monitors alignment and will automatically realign itself back to the center of the reflector if any building movement occurs. The detector comes with a separate controller unit which allows engineers to commission, monitor and maintain from ground level. Detection range is 40 m for the standard unit, increasing to 80 m or 100 m with the addition of the medium or long-range reflector kits The FB-1 features an integral loop module allowing full connectivity to the ESP analogue
addressable loop.

Addressable Wall Sounder

Description

Model CHQ-WS2 is an addressable loop powered Wall Sounder innovatively designed to provide a range of tones and volumes with a maximum output of up to 102dB(A) (±2dB(A)) with low current consumption. The unit is designed to fit to the Standard Base (YBO-R/3(RED)) or the Isolator Base (YBO-R/SCI(RED)). The sounder is IP rated to IP21 for internal use but it can be made weatherproof by utilising the WS2-WPK Weatherproof Kit, which consists of a specialised back box and gasket set. Also incorporates an auto shutdown mode* which allows the user to set a fixed time within which the sounder will operate, before automatically silencing itself, ideal for minimising noise pollution.

Addressable Base Sounder

Description

Model YBO-BS is an addressable loop powered Base Sounder innovatively designed to give a range of tones and volumes with a maximum output of up to 98 dB(A) (±2 dB(A)) with low current consumption. The unit is designed to fit to the Standard Base (YBN-R/3) or the Isolator Base (YBO-R/SCI – from Batch Number 6044) and can be fitted with any of the ESP Range of Sensors, Beacons or Remote Indicators. The unit can also be converted into a wall sounder with the simple addition of a Cap (SI/CAP). The sounder is Ingress Protection rated to IP21 and for internal use only. An Auto-Shutdown feature allows the user to set a fixed time within which the sounder will operate, before automatically silencing itself, cutting noise pollution.

Analogue Addressable Loop-Powered Beacons

Description

The CHQ-AB range consists of addressable loop-powered Beacons, with high-intensity LEDs and a Fresnel lens design which produces a highly visible flash.
The casings exactly match the Hochiki ESP Sensor range in shape and colour providing seamless integration. The units can be used on the Standard ESP Base (YBN-R/3), the Base Sounders (CHQBS or YBO-BS), the Base Sounder Beacon (YBO-BSB) or the Short-Circuit Isolator Base (YBO-R/SCI).

Addressable Common Mounting Base

Description

Model YBN-R/3(HFP) is a Common Mounting Base, which is fully compatible with Hochiki’s HFP range of analogue addressable sensors. It is supplied with square cable clamps for secure and reliable cable termination and is also capable of driving a remote LED if required.

Duct Probe Housing

Description

The SDP-3 is a Duct Probe housing allowing a standard photoelectric smoke detection device, either a conventional detector or an analogue sensor, to be mounted on the outside of an air duct for the purpose of monitoring the air within the duct. For installations where possible condensation could arise an optional cover is available (SDP-3 COVER) Using an aspirating technique, the air within the duct is drawn via a pipe into the duct probe’s housing. This allows constant sampling with a standard, LPCB approved smoke detector, which makes smoke detection within the duct simple, effective and easy to maintain.

Dual Input Module

Description

Model CHQ-DIM2(SCI) is a Dual Input Module designed to interface to a variety of inputs such as door contacts, sprinkler flow/door switches and plant equipment. Also available as a DIN Rail mountable version; both models feature an integral short-circuit isolator. A back box is also available (CHQ-BACKBOX) which, when used in conjunction with the CHQ-DIM2(SCI), increases the IP rating to IP65.

Model CHQ-DRC2(SCI) is a Dual Relay Controller designed to provide two general-purpose relay outputs, each output can be driven separately for control of such devices as dampers or for control of plant and equipment shutdown. The monitored input can be used for local power supply fault monitoring or as a general-purpose input.
The unit is also available as a DIN Rail mountable version; both models feature an integral short-circuit isolator. The CHQ-DRC2(SCI) utilises simple DIL switches for reliable addressing. A back box is also available (CHQ-BACKBOX) which, when used in conjunction with the CHQ-DRC2(SCI), increases the IP rating to IP65.

Model CHQ-DSC2(SCI) is a Dual Sounder Controller, which has been designed to provide two sounder outputs (that can be driven separately) with full fault monitoring. The monitored input can be used for local power supply fault monitoring or as a general-purpose input. The unit utilises simple DIL switches for reliable addressing. A back box is also available (CHQ-BACKBOX) which, when used in conjunction with the CHQ-DSC2(SCI), increases the IP rating to IP65.

Analog Addressable Manual Call Point with Short Circuit Isolator

Description

Model HCP-E(SCI) is a Manual Call Point with integral short-circuit isolator, which is fully compatible with Hochiki’s ESP analogue addressable protocol. The unit incorporates a bicoloured LED, which can be selected as pulsing/non-pulsing*1 for communications polling and is continuously lit when the HCP-E(SCI) is operated – in these two states the LED will show red. The LED will show amber when a short-circuit is present but will switch to red if the unit
is activated. A built in test function initiated by the control panel ensures the integrity of the device at all times and the device can be tested by insertion of a test key in the underside of the unit. Two terminal blocks are provided for easy connection to the loop wiring. The unit is addressed using the TCH-B200 Hand Held Programmer for quick and reliable addressing. The unit can be flush mounted as supplied. For surface fixing a suitable back box such as the SR MOUNTING BOX is required (sold separately). An optional glass element is also available.

Powered Output Module

Description

Model CHQ-POM is a powered-output module designed to supply 24 VDC at various, user-selectable current levels from 2 to 32 mA (in increments of 2 mA). The unit is small enough to be added to other third-party devices thereby allowing a range of equipment to be added to the ESP loop. The unit also features two monitored inputs.

Plant Control Module CHQ-PCM(SCI)

Description

The CHQ-PCM(SCI) is a loop powered input/output module with four independent changeover relay outputs and four monitored inputs. The outputs feature N/O and N/C volt free contacts and can be driven separately under the control of the fire alarm panel, to be used for the control of devices such as dampers or for plant and equipment shutdown. The four inputs are provided for local fire and fault monitoring and these are fully monitored for open and short circuit, which if required, can be enabled or disabled in pairs using a two-way DIL switch. Note:- The state of the relay contacts will be indeterminate until the unit is powered. The unit is also available in a DIN Rail mountable enclosure – CHQ-PCM/DIN(SCI). A back box is also available (CHQ BACKBOX) which, when used in conjunction with the CHQ-PCM(SCI), increases the IP rating to IP65. When using heavy cables we recommend
the use of the SMB-1 Module Enclosure inconjunction with the SMB-ADAPTOR plate.

Analogue Mains Relay Controller CHQ-MRC2(HFP)-SCI

Description

Model CHQ-MRC2(HFP)-SCI is a Single Input/Output Module, which provides a single, mainsrated relay output for the control of such devices as dampers, extractors or plant and equipment shutdown. The monitored input can be used for local power supply fault monitoring or as a general-purpose input. The unit is also available as a DIN Rail mountable version; with an integral short-circuit isolator. The CHQ-MRC2(HFP)-SCI utilises simple DIL switches for reliable addressing.

Analog Addressable Remote Indicator

Description

The CHQ-ARI is a loop-powered Addressable Remote Indicator, with high-intensity LEDs and a Fresnel lens design which produces a highly visible signal. The casing exactly matches the Hochiki ESP Sensor range in shape and colour providing seamless integration.
The unit can be used on the Standard ESP Base (YBN-R/3), the Base Sounders (CHQ-BS or YBO-BS), the Base Sounder Beacon (YBO-BSB) or the Short-Circuit Isolator Base (YBO-R/SCI).

Short-Circuit Isolator Base

Description

Model YBN-R/3(SCI) is a sensor mounting base featuring an integral short circuit isolator which will detect and isolate short-circuits on the loop. When a short-circuit is detected during power up the unit will drop the power to the rest of the loop. The YBN-R/3(SCI) is compatible with the ESP range of sensors and does not require a loop address. A remote fire LED facility is provided when a sensor is attached to the base.

NOTE: A fitted sensor will still be powered when this device is isolating.

Sounder and Beacon Weatherproofing Kit (red) CHQ-WPK

Description

The CHQ-WPK is a weatherproof back box and gasket set for various ESP audio/visual devices. The unit is compatible with:
CHQ-WS2 Wall Sounder
CHQ-WSB2 Wall Sounder Beacon
The unit (in combination with the above) increases the IP rating of the connected device to IP65 (for external use) and is available in either red (shown)
or white (CHQ-WPK(WHT)).

Single Output Module CHQ-SOM

Description

The CHQ-SOM has been designed to allow a single relay output to be connected to the ESP loop. The unit incorporates a volt-free relay contact that can be configured as either N/O or N/C, the relay contact is rated to 30 V dc (max), 1 A (resistive load). The CHQ-SOM features three colour-coded flying leads, the unit also features a wiring terminal block for loop connection. NOTE: The state of the relay contacts will be indeterminate until the unit is powered.
To maintain LPCB approval the device must be mounted in an SMB-1 enclosure (or an equivalent enclosure made from polycarbonate or a similar material which is impact resistant as per EN54-18:2005 Clause 5.9) in conjunction with the SMB-ADAPTOR plate, using two M3 screws or two M3 nuts and bolts. NOTE: If the PCB is removed from the protective outer casing the EN54 approval is voided.

Single Input Module CHQ-SIM

Description

The CHQ-SIM has been designed to allow a single monitored input to be connected to the ESP loop. This provides a compact, low-cost option where the installation of the larger CHQ ‘Smart-Fix’ Range of Modules might be difficult.
The CHQ-SIM features flying leads as well as a wiring terminal block for loop connection, making installation quick and easy. The unit is addressed with the TCH-B100 Hand Held Programmer utilizing the on board programming connector and a PL-3 lead.

Analogue Sounder Mounting Base YBO-R/3

Description

Model YBO-R/3 is a Sounder Mounting Base, which is fully compatible with Hochiki’s ESP
range of sensors and designed specifically for the Hochiki range of wall sounders, the
CHQ-WS2 Wall Sounder and the CHQ-WSB Wall Sounder Beacon.
It is supplied with square cable clamps for secure and reliable cable termination.

intensity LED technology and is designed to fit to the Standard Base (CHQ-WPK) & YBOR/
SCI(WHT)) or the Isolator Base (YBO-R/SCI(RED) & YBO-R/SCI(WHT)). The sounder is IP rated
to IP21 for internal use but it can be made weatherproof by utilising the WS2-WPK Weatherproof
Kit, which consists of a specialised back box and gasket set.

Weatherproof Analogue Addressable Manual Call Point with Short-Circuit Isolator HCP-W(SCI)

Description

Model HCP-W(SCI) is a weatherproof Manual Call Point with integral short-circuit isolator, which is fully compatible with Hochiki’s ESP analogue addressable protocol.
The unit incorporates a bi-coloured LED, which can be selected as pulsing/non-pulsing*1 for communications polling and is continuously lit when the HCP-W(SCI) is operated – in these two states the LED will show red. The LED will show amber when a short-circuit is present but will switch to red if the unit is activated. The unit operates by pressing the EN54 compliant non-frangible (plastic) element and produces a high level ESP interrupt. A built in test function initiated by the control panel ensures the integrity of the device at all times and the device can be tested by insertion of a test key in the underside of the unit. Two terminal blocks are provided for easy connection to the loop wiring.
The unit is addressed using the TCH-B100 Hand Held Programmer for quick and reliable addressing. An optional glass element is also available.
