Eco-Friendly Foam – C6 Type

Certain firefighting foams more environmentally friendly than others. These are known as C6 types of foams. The common C8 foam used can cause an environmental impact or liability during storage, use and discharge into the environment. Substituting one foam for another may make small improvements in environmental protection. But the best method of ensuring such protection is to design the system properly with the correct amount of foam and water, carry out required system maintenance, prevent accidental discharges, and provide a method of capture and control for any foam discharges. Non Eco-friendly foam also has a huge impact on ozone depletion.

Liquid Foam Concentrates – C8 Type

Firefighting foam and liquid concentrate is a foam used for fire suppression. Its role is to cool the fire and to coat the fuel, preventing its contact with oxygen, resulting in suppression of the combustion. The C8 Firefighting foam / liquid concentrates is simply a stable mass of small air-filled bubbles, which have a lower density than oil, gasoline or water. Foam is made up of three ingredients – water, foam concentrate and air. When mixed in the correct proportions, these three ingredients form a homogeneous foam blanket.

Every type of C8 foam has its application. High-expansion foams are used when an enclosed space, such as a basement or hangar, must be quickly filled. Low-expansion foams are used on burning spills. AFFF is best for spills of jet fuels, FFFP is better for cases where the burning fuel can form deeper pools, and AR-AFFF is suitable for burning alcohols. The most flexibility is achieved by AR-AFFF or AR-FFFP. AR-FFFP must be used in areas where gasolines are blended with oxygenates, since the alcohols prevent the formation of the film between the FFFP foam and the gasoline, breaking down the foam, rendering the FFFP foam virtually useless. SFFECO Provides UL Listed Foam Liquid Concentrates for all applications based on use and potential hazard.

Standard Foam Bladder Tank

Hydraulic Concentrate Control Valve

Hydraulic Concentrate Valve is designed for use in bladder tank foam systems or inline balance pressure proportioning system. The valve opens automatically when water supply is established through the inlet pipe of ratio controller of the bladder tank or in the inline balance pressure proportioning system. The valve opens at a minimum pressure of 3 Kgs (42.8 PSI) water pressure. No electric power is required to operate the valve.

Foam Generator

SFFECO Foam Generator is a high expansion device which is suitable for total flooding application in areas like basement, mines, tunnels, cable ducts and warehouses. It is powered by water turbine and aero foil fan, all that is required for operation is a pressurized water supply and a high expansion foam concentrate. Ideally suited for rapid smoke extraction and positive pressure ventilation. Our foam generators also are effective in controlling fuel spill fires and wildland fire timber breaks.

SFFECO Foam Generator is built using stainless steel or alloy metal coated with corrosion resistant material and powder coated to ensure excellent resistance to hard weather and environmental conditions.

Foam Eductor

Foam Eductors provide the simplest and most economical method of introducing a metered flow of foam concentrate into a pressurized water stream. The pressurized water stream creates a vacuum which is used to suck foam concentrate into the eductor body.  The dosing of the concentrate is controlled by either an orifice plate or a metering valve.  The concentrate enters and mixes with the water stream.  The foam solution exits through the outlet of the inductor.

Rim Seal Pourer

SFFECO Rim Seal Pourer is used to protect the vertical open top floating roof also known as OFTR. The rim seal pourer produces expanded foam and pours it in a mass flow in case of an emergency. Made from stainless steel or metal alloy the Rim Seal Pourer is coated with non-corrosion material to ensure that it can withstand harsh weather conditions and environmental wear and tear.

Air Foam Chamber

SFFECO air foam chambers consist of a foam expansion chamber and an integral foam maker with a stainless steel screened air inlet. Each chamber includes an orifice plate, two inlet gaskets, vapor seal assembly, cover gasket, and an outlet gasket. The required deflector (split or shallow) and optional mounting pad assembly are sold separately.

The foam deflector directs the foam stream down the tank sidewall to lessen the submergence of the foam and agitation of the fuel surface. The split deflector allows for either bolting or welding to storage tanks when installation may be performed from both sides of the tank wall as with newly constructed tanks. The split deflector also allows for insertion of the deflector through the flange opening from the outside wall as is often required with tanks already in service.

Inline Inductor

SFFECO Inline Inductor is designed mainly to be used in fixed installations and provide a simple yet reliable way of proportioning foam concentrates in a consistent flow application. SFFECO Inline Inductor is manufactured from stainless steel or metal alloy based of requirements and use. It is coated with corrosion resistant materials for a long life and for protection against harsh weather conditions.

Ratio Controller – Proportioner

SFFECO Proportioner is a device made to manage, monitor and dispense the right amount of foam concentrate in the water stream over a wide range of flow and pressure. The controller is also designed to not reduce the pressure a lot while it is dispensing the concentrate into the water stream. SFFECO Ratio Controller – Proportioner is UL Certified and is designed as per international standards. Typical applications include flammable liquid storage tanks, loading racks, aircraft hangars, and heliports or anywhere flammable liquids are used, stored, processed or transported

Foam Nozzles and Sprinklers

SFFECO Foam Nozzles and Sprinklers are air aspirating discharge heads produced to function with foam suppression systems. All our Foam Nozzles and Sprinklers are made from stainless steel or metal alloy for durability and optimum performance. Foam/Water Cabinet

SFFECO Foam/Water Cabinet Model SF9000 characterized for its high performance for attacking class A, B Fire within seconds. Designed for single man operation. Highly efficient in gas stations, Petrochemical Plants, Industrial premises, warehouse and in any areas requiring protection from class A or B fires.

Cabinet and door leaf made of electro-galvanized steel of thickness 1mm to 2mm which depends upon the use and customer requirements.

Cabinets are with all around folded edges without any sharp edges and burrs. The roof is with slope. All Cabinets can be Recessed, Semi Recessed & Surface Mounted

Cabinet painting is done by electrostatic power paint, oven baked to temperatures between 160°C to 200°C to protect from rust and to give good finish.

Operating instructions are silk screen printed in English and Arabic inside the cabinet doors.

Foam Monitor

Sffeco foam monitors are jets which is used to dispense huge quantities of foam precisely, consistently and at a fast rate to the burning areas from a distance where it is safe for fire fighters. SFFECO Foam Monitors are designed to deliver foam from long and safe distance at the rate of upto 50,000 lpm.
